For 2024, the Whiteside County Farm Bureau Foundation is offering a minimum of $14,000 in scholarships.
NEW IN 2024 The Foundation is offering a one-time $2,500 scholarship to a student enrolled in veterinary school. The livestock industry is realizing a decline in the number of veterinarians that work with large animals. This scholarship is to assist a student that plans to make large animals part of their practice. This scholarship is provided by funding from the Leonard Long memorial. The Long family of Sterling operate a family-owned dairy farm. They are long time supporters of the Foundation's summer Farm Camp program. We were honored to be remembered by the Long family in their time of loss. |
