ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES

2026 scholarships

The 2026 Whiteside County Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarships are OPEN! The foundation is awarding up to $40,000 in scholarships to support youth in their pursuit of careers in agriculture and the rural medical field.

Two-Year College/Technical/Trade School
Offering (6) $2,500 scholarships for current college or high school seniors enrolled at a two-year college or technical/trade school.

Offering (3) $5,000 scholarships for current college students and high school seniors enrolled at a four-year school.

Veterinary School
Offering (1) $5,000 scholarship for a college student enrolled at an accredited veterinary school.

Sauk Medical Student
A total of $5,000 for current Sauk students or incoming high school seniors enrolled in the Nursing, Radiologic Technology or Sonography programs. This information will be available through Sauk this spring.

​Deadline is March 16, 2026.

scholarship qualifications

Qualifications are as follows:
  • High School Seniors:  Must be a graduating in the spring 2026.
  • Applicant must be a resident of Whiteside County.
  • College Students: Full-time student at a college, university or technical school.
  • Farm Bureau membership is not required to apply. However, a student or parent/guardian with a membership can earn bonus points from judges. Membership must in effect by March 16, 2026, to be considered for any potential bonus points. 2025 Scholarship Recipients

​SCHOLARSHIP POLICY: A student's total scholarship awards shall not exceed $10,000 during their academic career. Students can apply for and receive scholarships for more than one academic year.
